Thanks for visiting our small, family-owned coffee shop here on a corner of the internet!  Masaya Market, LLC was formed in 2006; inspired by my first medical/dental mission trip to Nicaragua.  Starting with a few wood and ceramic handicrafts and then, migrating to gourmet coffee.

Nicaragua is a land of amazing natural beauty and, beautiful people but often a well-kept secret on a road less traveled by Central American tourists.  I love the country and, since my very first visit, I have loved the coffee.  It was my good pleasure to make the acquaintance of the owner of the Café Dipilto Coffee brand through one of our mission trip translators and, have since been promoting and selling his wonderful, eco-friendly gourmet coffee.

I have been blessed to serve on medical/dental mission teams where we will typically see between 2,000 and 3,000 patients in a week.  It has given me the opportunity to become immersed in the people and culture of Nicaragua and, to see first-hand the results of child labor in the coffee business.  Here at Masaya Market, we are pleased to offer coffee that is not only eco-friendly but also, free of child labor.  We’re not a big, corporate brand but we are the gourmet, peace-of-mind brand…
