Direct from the Dipilto mountains of Nicaragua, Ecológico is a lovely, gourmet coffee holding very high standards. Grown in the shade, our coffee is much more friendly to the environment than common monocropping plantations where coffee is produced in full sun to increase the yield per acre. The more natural and complex ecosystem of our shade-tree plantation produces a rich, aromatic and full-bodied coffee. The plantation is also a natural habitat to thousands of native and migrating birds.
Many of our customers cherish the low acidity of this coffee because, for sensitive stomachs, they can now enjoy more than one cup a day. The coffee industry is notorious for child labor especially in developing countries but our plantation, holding the highest of standards, is also free of child labor.
