For Hand-Crafted Wood & Ceramic Items

Here at Masaya Market, we occasionally make available some of the beautiful handicrafts of Nicaragua. Many of the items you see for sale are one of a kind as our value proposition is in offering unique and beautiful products.   If you select an item quantity greater than one and find it is the only one is stock, this is normal.  Some items we sell have similar designs however; many of the individual products are rarely duplicated.  When you give a gift from Masaya Market, you know that your friend or loved one is receiving something truly special and unique.  In some cases, we receive small batches if items that are very similar.  In these cases, the product photo will read "Representative Sample of Item”.  Items with a photo caption of "Actual Item” are unique and the only one we have in stock.

Wood products can vary in wood grains, patterns and final execution.  Knots, pits and other irregularities including stress and tooling marks are normal.  The natural irregularities of wood are part of its beauty.  The skilled artisans who make our products often work from the humble means of their own homes.  The remarkable results of their skills and knowledge are what you will find for sale here at Masaya Market.  Ceramic items and items marked as decorative, are not intended for utilitarian purposes.  

Please note that many of our products with matching lids or covers hand crafted to uniquely fit together.  The lids may fit in only one direction, this is normal.  If a lid doesn't seem to fit, simply spin it around until it fits into its natural resting position.

Many of our exotic multi-wood serving bowls are intended for dry or low-moisture serving.  Some of the primary design purposes are for serving rice or tortillas but they can also be great for beans, chips and all sorts of snacks.
